I’ve started this blog to share my love of vintage and antique cookbooks.  I love my old cookbooks for so many reasons – the bits of advice, sometimes useful, sometimes truly bizarre; the recipes, both unique and the old standbys; and the magical glimpses they provide into the domestic lives of women of past generations.  Some focused on practicality and economy, some hoped to inspire home cooks to remarkable culinary heights, others promoted new ingredients or cooking methods, but each one holds a special place in my heart.
